"Big Daddy" Dan Lea

Dan Lea came to the Classic Rock Station in mid-1988, prompting the question, "What kind of guy gives up an honest living as a truck driver for THIS?!?" Dan had a knack for being able to keep late-night crazies company, and so he became "The Insomniac." Surviving several management changes, he finally landed as the premiere mid-day jock in Las Vegas and also became the station's very effective Music Director. Dan provided "Friday Frank," a weekly dose of Zappa, and made the "Whole Lotta Lunch" request hour a local staple. Dan currently works for Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Children's Charities and you'll hear his voice booming over the speakers while you're at the track.

The Professor

Impressing Classic Rock fans across the Las Vegas valley on a daily basis, "Professor" Jeff Anderson was, for years, The Classic Rock Station's sage and music expert as he commanded the airwaves during middays. He continued to float in and out of the station's landscape right up until the end in May 2007. Jeff currently works at KFRH in Las Vegas.

Come out and play...

No one is quite sure what mutated geothermal excretion from the bowels of earth itself could have produced The One, The Only, THE WARRIOR. Secure enough in his sexuality to be considered every man's everyman, his prowess with the ladies is widely renowned. Just ask him. Same with his ratings. You name it, he's done it, in radio or in life. The Warrior still roams above ground (most of the time) in Las Vegas.

Kim Kelly, Rob Van Horn and Dennis Mitchell getting crazy in Mexico

Las Vegas' undisputed Queen of Classic Rock in the afternoon, Kim Kelly came to the Classic Rock Station from the station's traffic service, where she and The Warrior often debated gender priority during her on-air traffic breaks. Her "Flippin' Off Five at Five" feature made the Las Vegas commute tolerable, and we're sure that heaven for her, is a big fat double-wide with deep shag. Kim currently works for Lotus Broadcasting in Las Vegas.

Dennis Mitchell, Todd Hunter and John Earl

Crusing to and from the many concerts the Classic Rock Station presented in Las Vegas, you more than likely were entertained by Todd Hunter, who reigned during evenings during the heyday on Industrial Road. Todd was always able to see things from the perspective of the listener and of the musicians he presented, and that made his time on the air that much more valuable. Todd moved to Wisconsin in 2001 and did mornings on KCLH in La Crosse for years. He is now a member of Bad Animals, an acclaimed Heart tribute band in Minneapolis.

Mad Dog Monroe and superhero friend

We probably get more "Whatever happened to..." questions about Bill "Mad Dog" Monroe than any other personality. And from time to time, we're able to answer, but now is not such a time. On the air, Mad Dog was the equivalent of just that, an out-of-control animal that might leave a nasty mess on the rug. Off the air, he would at least carry a bottle of carpet cleaner on him. We've lost track of Mad Dog. If you know where he is, please use the e-mail link and let us know.
