Kansas
The Classic Rock All-Stars
THE STORY
To most, it was another fun festival that led us all to believe we'd just be doing this every year. But a few
of us could see storm clouds on the corporate horizon, and sure enough this turned out to be the last Junefest.
It seemed appropriate to have one of rock's most powerful voices, Paul Rodgers, close the series after a long, hot day
that saw newcomers Jethro Tull (a HUGE vote-getter among you guys) and Kansas, and return appearances from REO Speedwagon
and Joan Jett. The day began with a fun set from the Classic Rock All Stars featuring Pat Travers, Joe Lynn Turner, Larry
Hoppen of Orleans and Alex Ligertwood.
