THE STORY
Junefest was always a grand excuse to party, but maybe never more so than for #8. Sammy Hagar and the Waboritas
brought their full-blown party stage, and invited us all for MAS TEQUILA. The record crowd had already been whipped
into a frenzy by George Thorogood, both performers making their first Junefest appearances along with Pat Benatar. BTO sets
the record for most appearances, and we were lucky enough to see two of the finest Classic Rock singers on the planet do
solo sets, Paul Rodgers of Bad Company and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. You all raved about Junefest 8 right up
until we started taking your votes on who to invite to Junefest 9.
