Lin Aubuchon, without whom...
|
Lin Aubuchon's mom must have had a radio
near her belly the entire time she was pregnant. We always stood in awe of her ability to take any crazy notion and make it
a fun reality for everyone involved. Through the station's heyday on Industrial Road, anytime you heard us broadcasting from exotic locations that ranged from
Hawaii to a convenience store in Pittman, Lini was the brains behind it all. She is currently promotions director for Rincon
Broadcasting in Santa Barbara, California, where she is also a top-rated air talent and hosts "Breakfast With Bob
Marley" on Sunday mornings.

Harmon Killebrew with Big Durwin
|
One of the integral players in taking the Classic Rock Station
to another level was Durwin Piper, a former strongman champion and wrestler who became enamored of Johnson & Tofte's show to the
point he'd show up with a video camera at many of the duo's crazy stunts. He eventually became the show's first real producer, and his
connections to some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment landed many of them as exclusive interview guests. Durwin now works
as Promotions Coordinator for Lotus Broadcasting in Las Vegas.

Twitta with Lin, 1995
|
We of the airstaff regularly referred to the rank and file
sales people as 'mooks,' but the term was never used when talking about Pat McRight. The wife of a former general
manager, Pat's energy and positive attitude continually paid off in making her one of the best of the best. Listeners should understand that
sales people set up remote broadcasts and other opportunities for us air folks, and when it came to those things, we'd all compete
to get to work for Pat because she had every base covered. She left us in 2006 and we still miss her.

Jim Scott
|
Jim Scott arrived in Las Vegas by way of
Moab, Utah, and impressed us with his can-do approach to problems and situations that others couldn't do. A promotions
whiz, Jim always made it much easier for the announcers to show up and start working right away. It was never lost on us
how much he loved the station and wanted for all of us to succeed. Jim is currently the promotions director at
KTUD-TV in Las Vegas.

Boomer with Dennis Mitchell, 1992
|
One of the many varied characters who helped
keep the Classic Rock Station humming along on Industrial Road, Mike "Boomer" Gallion was always there with a smile and support. Though
his official duties involved scheduling commercials for the sales department, Boomer's heart and soul were in the
station's cool programming, and he spent far more time down the hall in our studios than at his traffic department desk. He is
currently employed at a TV station in Ames, Iowa.

The J-Man in all his glory
|
His on-air career began with a resounding "F***!" as cold
salsa was poured on his stomach by a topless dancer during the Johnson & Tofte Show. Jeremy Dawes somehow survived that
career indiscretion only to become the intern dubbed by J&T as "Little Prick." A man for whom it seemed there was no position
that qualified as "compromising," Jeremy parlayed his morning show experience into an on-air and promotions career, and he
currently works at KJUL/KDOX in Las Vegas.
